The plot has a gentle slope to the south as well as a pine forest that should not be disturbed. Therefore, the house complies with the northern boundary, while seeking the midday sun. But if what makes a house better is its spatial value, then looking to the south is insufficient. As a result, it encloses a courtyard to the north that allows a certain transversal transparency.
The organization is compact; the daytime area and the main bedroom are facing the south, as in a small independent house, and the kitchen and service area are orientated to the north, all located on the ground floor. Upstairs, the storing structure organizes five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outside, the brick walls are painted white on galvanized steel bases, aluminium frames and a large zinc roof; inside, exceptional oak flooring extends vertically on the timber joinery and the white wall paint. The simplicity of the finishings allow for careful detailing. The house is built as a set of well-defined wooden surfaces that organize the house entirely.
The expressive identity that the roof surface provides does not prevent its articulation. The floor-plan wrapped around itself, the inner spaces generated by the porches and the selective landscaping unwind the formal unity into a multiplicity of spaces that will find their use, a time or a season to enjoy with life passing by.
